Anne has been involved in hospitality, service businesses and projects for over 20 years as an entrepreneur, General Manger, shareholder, director, COO, consultant, project manager and overall "doer". In 2005 she founded Sequel Hotels and Resorts Lifestyle Hotels where she is President and COO. Previous to this Anne was the General Manager at Deerhurst Resort in Ontario where she oversaw a $60M renovation and reposition, and grew the hospitality team from 300 to 750 staff where they were awarded Best Resort in Ontario among other accolades.
Sequel Hotels and Resorts is currently involved in the management and development of 4 properties in Ontario; HV Muskoka Resort, Benmiller Inn and Spa, Elora Mill Inn and Touchstone on Lake Muskoka which is a $80M fractional resort under construction set to open spring of 2008. Sequel Hotels and Resorts have a number of acquisition and or management contracts in the pipeline. Sequel Hotels and Resorts is know for it’s unique non-hierarchical team culture within it’s organization, and it’s nibble and empowered customer service culture.
Anne is active within the hospitality sector and as an outspoken advocate for disabled children. She has been featured in McLean’s Magazine, on National Television and print, and has been a sought after speaker on the subjects of hospitality, people resources, inspired leadership, Eco-Tourism, Customer Service, as well as on subjects relating to helping to improve services for disabled children in Canada.
