Insight
Into The Canadian Resort Real Estate Purchaser
Interest in purchasing recreational
real estate continues to increase across Canada,
with numerous golf, ski and general leisure-focused
projects appearing in almost every province. But
just who’s buying these
properties? What amenities are being sought? And
what’s the preferred ownership structure?

Harris Decima Research,
experts at integrating consulting, public-opinion
research, public affairs and communications
has produced a unique study of recreational
real estate purchase behaviour among Canadians.
This
in-depth analysis was drawn from the findings
of 1,000 surveys completed by a broad cross
section of Canadian consumers. The presentation
will include exclusive insight into existing
ownership patterns, brand and product awareness,
current and planned purchase behavior and key
buyer accelerators and inhibitors. This high
impact presentation will conclude with sound
recommendations of relevance to the developer
and investor community.
All registered delegates will receive a copy
of an Executive Summary Report based on the
findings of this study.
Due to the OCT 14th election
call, our Keynote Speaker, Allan Gregg, will not
be in attendance at the Conference. On behalf of
Allan Gregg, Big Picture Conferences apologizes
for this change of schedule. The Canadian study
[data collected in September 2008, based on 1004
respondents] of Recreational Real Estate Purchasing
Behaviour will be presented by Lise
Dellazizzo (Senior VP @ Harris/Decima). For a sneak peak at
some of the survey results, please download the

Marrying
Real Estate And Resorts
As Canadian (and international) resort development becomes
more and more dependent on a real estate component,
how does the resort operating model change? Real estate
sales fund a range of amenities while resort residents provide
the base to support a broader range of amenities. Learn
how the introduction of resort real estate sales has
changed the development and operating profile of Canadian
resort development and operations. |

Golf:
Table Stakes For A Successful Resort Or Yesterday’s “Must

At one time the signature golf
course was the key drawing feature of a successful resort:
A marquee name, residential clustered along the fairway,
a showpiece clubhouse. But is golf the must have
it used to be in a world of aging baby boomers and changing
family composition? Hear these experts provide
a summary of how golf is being used today to differentiate
