Manager of Human Resource Development | Alberta Hotel & Lodging Association
Celia Koehler is the Manager of Human Resource Development at the Alberta Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA). Previously, she served as a member on the Alberta Post-Secondary Application System Task Force, was a director on the Chrysalis Foundation Board, and served on ACTISEC.
Prior to joining the AHLA, Celia worked a variety of roles, from a Human Resources/ Administration role to a Human Resources Manager role at the property level. Celia then held the role of Human Resources Manager for all Clique Hotels & Resorts properties, where she gained hands on experience with hotels, restaurants, and resorts in a variety of geographical locations.
Celia graduated from the University of Calgary, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Psychology and Sociology. She also completed a University Certificate in Human Resources and Labour Relations from Athabasca University. Celia is a Certified Human Resource Professional and was awarded the 2013 Human Resources Institute of Alberta’s Rising Star Award.
To generate a smooth education-to-employment transition for students, educational institutions, job seekers, and employers, Celia is working towards integrating the dual credit program, student work experience placements, the Canada Job Grant, and the AHLA’s Job Bank.
