Anthony (Tony) Cohen
Tony is President of Global Edge Investments, a hospitality and lifestyle based investment company he founded in 1998. GEI’s range of current investments includes restaurants, hotels and most recently a start up clothing line. Tony is an active partner in all GEI’s investments. In 2003, Tony opened the award winning boutique Hotel Le Germain Toronto, in which he partnered with Groupe Germain from Quebec. He is rapidly expanding his portfolio of investments, with a specific focus on hotels. Prior to founding Global Edge Investments, he was an employee and small equity investor in Canada's largest casual dining restaurant company, Prime Restaurants. Tony attended the College of William & Mary. He serves on the board of Trustees of the Ontario Science Centre and has been, and, along with his wife Moira , continues to be involved in numerous philanthropic endeavours, including Covenant House and Planned Parenthood and recently just completed his term as President of the Board of Kolel, an Adult Jewish learning and outreach centre in Toronto. |
