Nora M. Duke
http://www.fortisproperties.com  As Vice President, Hospitality Services at Fortis Properties Corporation, Nora Duke oversees the operation of 18 hotels in seven provinces. This portfolio, totaling over 3,200 rooms, operates under multiple brands in both the full service and limited service categories and has a workforce of over 1,400 employees. Nora has worked with the Fortis Group since 1983, where she began her career in the utility operations with Newfoundland Power. She held the position of Vice President, Customer and Corporate Services at the time of her appointment to Fortis Properties in 2003. Nora holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree as well as a Masters of Business Administration degree - both through Memorial University of Newfoundland in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. Nora is a very active participant in various business and community organizations. In addition, she serves on the IAHI Canada Committee as well as the Holiday Inn Brand Committee. |
