Margarita Escobar

Ambassador Margarita Escobar has been Deputy Minister for Salvadoreans Abroad (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) since 2003. As such she is responsible for all diaspora issues including the Foreign Workers Programme. Mrs. Escobar has been Ambassador to the Organization of American States as well as Ambassador in Venezuela. She has also served in Geneva as Alternate Representative to the United Nations and other international organizations. She studied architecture at the State University of Louisiana.
