Steve Gupta
Steve Gupta is a developer and operator of Hotels throughout Ontario. He has been a leader in introducing new upscale focussed brands and new concepts to the hotel market, making the extraordinary common place for his guests. He opened Canada’s first Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites, a Marriott Courtyard and conference centre in Brampton and the Hilton Garden Inn and Toscana conference centre in Vaughan – both including lavish and extensive banquet facilities. Mr. Gupta is building a new Residence Inn in downtown Toronto, and has just broken ground on a new Hilton Garden Inn, also located in Toronto’s Entertainment District. Most of Mr. Gupta’s hotels are award winners, and his company earned the Pinnacle Award for Hotel Company of the Year in 2000. He himself was the recipient of Ernst & Young’s 2005 Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Ontario. He believes in giving back to the community and served on the Board of Centenary Hospital for 12 years. He currently serves on the Board of the St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation, and is Chairman of the Choice Hotels Franchisee Advisory Board for Canada, and the Marriott Owners Advisory Committee for Canada. |
