General Manager, Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel
Tony Dunn, is the General Manager of the flagship Sheraton
Centre Toronto Hotel. The award-winning property features 1,377 guest
rooms and suites and more than 100,000 sqft of premium convention and
meeting space. In addition to its retail area, the hotel complex comprises
a total of 1.5 million square feet.
Dunn took the helm at the property
in January 2008. He brought more than 19 years of
hotelier and operations expertise to the position. He made the move
to the largest Starwood Hotels and Resorts Canadian property from the
Sheraton Gateway Toronto International Airport, where he was General
Manager 2004-2007 for the 474 room property.
Dunn began his career
with Starwood in 1989, working at The Westin Ottawa
in Canada’s national capital. He then held
tenures with the Starwood Canadian portfolio in Winnipeg, Edmonton
A graduate of the business program at Algonquin College,
Dunn also has Financial Management designation from
the University of Winnipeg.
Dedicated to his profession and promoting
tourism, Dunn is a member of Tourism Toronto and
a board member of the Greater Toronto Hotel Association (GTHA). With
a keen desire to help his community, Dunn has participated in numerous
causes over the year, including the Canadian Hospitably Foundation,
Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, the Yonge Street Mission. Under
his direction, the hotel also assists more than 150 charities and special
events annually through in-kind services and donations.
