Steve Kleinschmidt is the Director for the Tourism,
Hospitality and Leisure practice in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Real Estate Advisory
and Transaction Services group in Canada. Steve has extensive hotel
industry operational and development experience having held positions
with Delta Hotels and Western Hospitality Hotels. From 1986 to 1992,
Steve worked within the Hospitality & Leisure (H&L) practice
of Pannell Kerr Forster (PKF) in Vancouver. In 1992, Steve became
Managing Director of PKF’s Hong Kong office and in 1994 CEO
of PKF’s Asia/Pacific H&L practice with responsibility for
the Hong Kong and Singapore offices and a territory
of 18 countries. Steve has been a Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers
in Vancouver since 1999.
With a focus on the hospitality, tourism and leisure
industries, Steve’s primary areas of expertise include strategic
development planning, asset management planning, financial/real
estate analysis, operational assessments, management contract negotiation,
investment risk assessment, market assessments, and valuations.
Steve has provided advisory and transaction services for tourism-related
projects in Asia, Canada and the Caribbean.
