As Vice President Operations, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, North America, Mr. Fader is responsible for overall operations and performance of all managed and franchised InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in North America including Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

Mr. Fader joined InterContinental Hotels Group in 1980, working at various InterContinental hotels located in cities such as New York, San Francisco, Geneva, Paris and London. Throughout his tenure with the company, Mr. Fader opened seven hotels and has worked as Hotel Manager, Hotel InterContinental Sydney, General Manager, Hotel InterContinental Los Angeles, General Manager, Hotel InterContinental Cleveland and General Manager Hotel InterContinental Chicago and Regional Vice President Operations Midwest and Canada.

Mr. Fader earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Catawba College and master’s degree in professional studies from the Graduate School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.

Mr. Fader currently resides in Atlanta with his wife, Melody and two children, Nicholas and Ashley.

  • 23 of the 29 years with IHG in operations on 3 continents; 10 of the 11 postings at IC Hotels and the current corporate position.
  • 6 as Resident Manager or GM
  • Managed 5 openings as a staff member and as corporate VP 6 openings and 6 conversions.
  • Managed 2 significant renovation projects (Over $20M)
  • Managed 3 union hotels and worked thru 2 city wide union strikes.
  • 6 of 10 hotel assignments were working for third party owners and currently work with 16 different ownership groups.

  • Currently working with 36 IC operating hotels with gross sales of nearly $1B and an additional 2 under construction.
