Ron is responsible for lodging operations of all Marriott Brands hotels & resorts in Canada. Canada has 58 hotels that generate $600 million in revenue per year and is projected to grow to more than 100 units 2010.

Prior to this position, Ron has worked with Marriott International for over 25 years. This included positions in sales, marketing, and operations at resorts, and convention hotels before taking the position of resident manager at the Anaheim Marriott. Subsequently, he was assigned as General Manager of the Irvine Marriott, before transferring overseas to be the General Manager of the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong.

More recently, Ron has worked at Marriott corporate headquarters as Vice President Financial Planning & Analysis, and subsequently as Vice President Worldwide Reservations. In his most recent position he was a key leader in the Renaissance brand as Market Vice President – East, with responsibility for over 30 full-service hotels and resorts.

Ron has earned a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University, and an M.B.A. degree (emphasis in Finance) from the University of Washington. He currently serves on the board of Rising Star Outreach, a charity involved in helping individuals affected by leprosy in India. He also serves on the Executive Board of the National Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He is married with 5 children.
