Patrick Byrne

President and CEO | Kingsway Arms Management Services Inc.

Mr. Patrick Byrne is the President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Kingsway Arms Retirement Residences Inc. His responsibilities include developing and executing Kingsway’s strategic plan, investor relations and overseeing acquisitions and development projects. He founded the company in 1997 after the acquisition of the Bradgate Arms Hotel. Kingsway has now become a fully integrated owner/operator of mid-market retirement homes in Ontario. Mr. Byrne has held a number of senior executive positions in the real estate industry and has experience in developing, managing and operating seniors residences. In 1994, Mr. Byrne founded Kingsway Living Centers, holding the president position until 1997. Through implementation of his strategy to identify, develop and convert existing hotels into full service retirement facilities, Patrick identified the Bradgate Arms Hotel in Toronto which was converted into an up-scale retirement home in 1995. During 1996-1997 he was a partner with Central Park Lodge on the Bradgate and he was involved in supervising the management of the retirement home. The Bradgate was and it was sold to CPL in 1998. Mr. Byrne was the president of Erin Consulting Group from 1991-1994, a financial consulting group that catered to the health care industry. He was President and CEO of Tintoretto Inc. (“TNTO”, a NASDAQ listed company) from 1988 to 1991 and CFO of International Sterling Holdings Inc (“ISHI”, a NASDAQ listed company) from 1986 to 1988. Mr. Byrne earned a MBA degree from the University of Windsor in 1981 (major in finance) and a B.A in economics from the University of Western Ontario in 1979.
