VP, Real Estate & Development | Pomeroy Lodging LP
Jeff is the Vice President of Real Estate and Development with Pomeroy Lodging, an Alberta based vertically integrated hotel company specializing in development, construction, management, brand and real estate ownership. His responsibilities include executing the company’s aggressive strategic growth plan through new developments and acquisitions while maximizing value of the existing portfolio of 17 hotels. Jeff also oversees the company’s Gaming division, with two Chances Gaming Centre’s located in British Columbia.
Prior to joining Pomeroy, Jeff was Director, Asset Management with Westmont Hospitality Group, one of the largest privately-held hospitality organizations in the world. In this role, Jeff oversaw over $1B in real estate including many of the larger full service hotels in the InnVest REIT and private portfolios with brands including Fairmont, Delta, Hilton, Sheraton and Hyatt. Jeff was responsible for ensuring asset performance is maximized, execution of strategic initiatives, oversight over capital investment and leading acquisitions and dispositions.
Prior to Westmont, Jeff held an asset management role with Legacy Hotel REIT, a Canadian portfolio of 25 luxury and first-class hotels. He had significant involvement in the $2.5 billion privatization of Legacy. Previously, Jeff was a Consultant with PKF Consulting where he completed hotel and tourism feasibility studies. Jeff started his career in the hospitality industry in many front line positions at hotels in Toronto, Vancouver and New Brunswick.
Jeff received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Guelph’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and has a Certificate in Urban Land Economics from the Sauder School of Business at UBC.
