Steven S. Miner is Vice President, Research & Acquisitions, with Wyndham Vacation Ownership. He primarily handles acquisitions for the western part of the continent, from Alaska to the Pacific coast of Mexico. He also oversees market research for the company and is heavily involved in strategic planning.
Wyndham Vacation Ownership, a division of Wyndham Worldwide, is the largest vacation ownership company in the world, with over 850,000 owners, more than 140 resorts, and annual sales of about $2 billion. Sister companies under Wyndham Worldwide include RCI, the world’s largest vacation exchange and rental company with access to more than 60,000 properties, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the largest hotel franchisor in the world with 10 brands and more than 6,500 properties located on six continents.
Steve has been involved with the vacation ownership and second home industry for more than 25 years, initially conducting market research, appraisals, consumer surveys, and other consulting services, completing over 500 studies for various developers, industry groups, and government agencies worldwide. His educational background and training includes a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara; a Master of Urban & Regional Planning from the University of Oregon; and commercial appraisal licensing. He resides in Salem, Oregon.
