Doug Fisher

Doug Fisher is President of FHG International Inc, (formerly Fisher Hospitality Group) Management consultants to the foodservice and franchise industries. Founded in 1984, FHG is recognized both nationally and internationally as the leading foodservice advisor in Canada and one of the top three in North America. He has received two International consulting awards for 'Excellence in Management Advisory Services' from the prestigious organization Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI), which represents 1,500 of the leading foodservice consultants from over 40 countries worldwide (only one award offered per year). Doug has written four restaurant/franchise related books including the national accounting standards for the CRFA, which has been approved by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, and is used as a text book in several of Canada's leading hospitality programs.

FHG's foodservice and franchise client base includes, but is not limited to many of the leading international names in the industry such as: McDonald's, Quizno's, Ruth Chris Steak House, Morton's of Chicago, Cara Operations, Boston Pizza and Dunkin' Donuts. He has been the advisor to many Canadian start up operators such as Mandarin Buffet, Mr. Greek Restaurants, William's Coffee Pub, Sawmill Steak House, and La Paloma Gelateria among others. His independent clients include high end restaurants such as Centro, Crush, Senator and Blow Fish; institutions such as Roger's Centre, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Ontario Place, all six BC Health Authorities, AGO, ROM, Royal BC Museum, Legislative Assembly, York University, George Brown College, Manitoba Lottery Corporation and other similar organizations. Client work is currently being conducted throughout North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

FHG provides advisory services including, but not limited to: strategic planning, operations assessment, franchise development/roll-out, and litigation support.

Doug holds a Master's degree in Foodservice and Hotel Management, is a Fellow of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants, a Fellow of the Ontario Hostelry Institute, a Certified Foodservice Executive, and a professional member of FCSI.
