Executive Vice-President | Imago Restaurants Inc.
Cindy Simpson is Executive Vice President of Imago Restaurants. Essentially Cindy runs the company on behalf of Owner/President Neil Vosburgh. Each unit is run by a General Manager who reports to Cindy and she continues to focus her attention on neighbourhood marketing and managerial development. Cindy joined Imago in 1986 to run the Duncan Street Grill. Since then she has grown with Imago and assumed positions of increasing responsibility. She moved from General Manager to Vice-President Grills, and then Vice-President Marketing before assuming her current role.
Cindy holds an honours degree in English Literature from York University. During her tenure at Imago, she has profited from a number of excellent courses and programs at the Cornell School of Hotel and Restaurant Management. Cindy has also studied Marketing at Ryerson University. And to demonstrate that she respects the back end of the restaurant as much as the front, Cindy followed the provincial program and got her chef’s papers.
In 2014, Cindy became a board member of Restaurants Canada and in 2015 was named Vice Chair of the Restaurants Canada Show Committee. This past summer Cindy created a new international LinkedIn group, “Women In Beer”.
