Ronald Holgerson joined the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation (OTMPC) in July 2011. In his role as President & CEO, he oversees the marketing of Ontario as a tourism destination provincially, nationally and internationally and works closely with the Ontario tourism industry to build successful marketing partnerships.
During his time with OTMPC, Ronald has championed the agency’s partnership role, renewed emphasis on consumer oriented marketing and led organizational transformation including the establishment of new Regional Tourism, Sector and Marketing Metrics Advisory Committees and revitalization of the Northern Committee.
Previously, Ronald provided marketing and communications expertise to Ryerson University’s Centre for Urban Energy (CUE), the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT), the Canadian Dance Assembly, the College and University Consortium Council (CUCC), and Perspective Marketing.
Mr. Holgerson’s career path has included a variety of roles in postsecondary education and government, most recently as Vice President, Advancement & Public Affairs for Mohawk College and Executive Director of Marketing and Communications at Sheridan College. Prior career opportunities included Saskatchewan Arts, Cultural Industries & Multiculturalism, Canadian Heritage and the Canada Council for the Arts in Ottawa. Early in his career, Mr. Holgerson was a successful promotions and merchandising retail executive with The Bay in Edmonton and Montreal, and a dancer, choreographer, arts manager, and actor.
