Associate Professor of Hotel Administration | Cornell University
Chris Anderson is Associate Professor at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
His main research focus is on revenue management (RM) and service pricing. He actively works with companies, across numerous industry types, in the application and development of RM, having worked with a variety of online travel agencies, hotels, airlines, rental car and tour companies as well as numerous consumer packaged good and financial services firms. Anderson’s research has been funded by numerous governmental agencies and industrial partners and he serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Revenue and Pricing Management and is the regional editor for the International Journal of Revenue Management. At the Hotel School he teaches courses in RM, data driven analytics and service operations management.
He teaches Hotel Revenue Management and Advanced Revenue Management and Pricing in the schools executive education (PDP) program in
addition to custom programs designed for individual firms. Anderson is also the co-founder of PriceWhispers.com, an innovative online selling format that engages consumers in the application of dynamic pricing via one-to-one, socially enabled negotiations.
