Chief Procurement Officer | Deloitte Canada
Geoff Parsons is the Chief Procurement Officer for Deloitte Canada and is accountable for establishing the firm’s procurement strategy and operating plan in collaboration with the Executive team and other business leaders. He is also responsible for setting the procurement operating objectives, developing the capabilities of the procurement team and deploying the technology and tools required to support the overall procurement strategy.
Since joining the firm in 2013, in addition to the role as CPO Geoff has also assumed the responsibilities as the leader of the internal Business Services team and serves as the Chief Security Officer for the Canadian firm.
He is active globally and plays an integral role with other leading member firms in the planning and development of the future procurement and sourcing strategies in support of the Deloitte Global 2020 business plan. In addition to his internal role, Geoff is called upon frequently to provide procurement consulting advice and specific technical input to assist clients of the firm and is often called upon to address procurement and supply chain organizations and associations.
Prior to joining Deloitte, Geoff held senior leadership positions as the Divisional Vice President of Corporate Procurement for Sears Canada and as a Vice President in the Procurement and Supply Chain Consulting Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers both based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Originally hailing from St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada Geoff spent the early part of his professional career in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada where he held various management roles with organizations such as: Litton Systems, Nova Scotia Power and Air Canada Jazz.
Geoff holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Mount Saint Vincent University, an MBA from Queen’s University and currently resides in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
