Co-President | Group Germain Hotels

Christiane Germain is co-founder and co-president of Group Germain Hotels, a family-owned business that currently owns and operates 13 properties in 5 Canadian provinces. She also oversees the operations and marketing for all of the Group's hotels.

Raised in a family of entrepreneurs from Quebec City, Christiane Germain became familiar with the realities of the business world at a young age, giving her the business sense to take the family restaurant business into the hotel industry with the opening of the Group’s first hotel in 1988.

Under her collaboration with Jean-Yves Germain, her brother and co-president, the Group’s two hotel banners, Le Germain Hotels and Alt Hotels, have experienced exceptional growth over the past decades. Moreover, the co-presidents aim to offer travelers a network of 20 hotels right across Canada by 2020.

Pioneer of the boutique-hotel concept in Canada, Group Germain Hotels is distinguished by the impeccable hospitality and style it brings to its properties. Christiane Germain supports numerous charities and takes a leading role in the community to encourage entrepreneurship. She is also chair of the board of directors of the Musée National des beaux-arts du Québec.
