Neil Hornsby

 Director, Marketing & Strategic Partnerships | Best Western Hotels & Resorts

Neil has a B.Comm degree, in Hotel Administration from the University of Guelph.  He has worked in the hotel industry for 32 years and has extensive experience in both the property operations and corporate office side of the business. 

Neil currently oversees marketing and strategic partnerships for Best Western Hotels & Resorts in Canada.  He sits on the Board of Directors for the Hotel Association of Canada, is a member of the US Marketing Committee for Destination Canada and is also a member of the Policy Advisory Board for the School of Hospitality, Food & Tourism - University of Guelph.

Neil lives in Guelph, Ontario (although he is hardly ever home due to all of the wonderful travelling he does for Best Western Hotels & Resorts), where he enjoys several outdoor activities such as running, biking and the occasional camping trip.  In addition to all the business trips he takes, he also finds time to balance life with leisure trips and has spent the last few years visiting countries in central and South America.   His other interests include music, reading, cooking and trying to learn Spanish.

He has two wonderful daughters, Sara, who has recently moved to Sydney, Australia and Emma who lives in Toronto.
