President and Chief Executive Officer | Maclab Enterprises
Bruce Bentley is President and Chief Executive Officer of Maclab Enterprises; an Edmonton based real estate development firm with operations in Alberta, British Columbia, the Northwest Territories and the United States.
A native Edmontonian, he is a graduate of the University of Alberta’s School of Business.
Prior to returning to Edmonton and joining Maclab in 1995, Bruce spent 15 years in Calgary and Toronto, lastly as a Senior Vice President of Bramalea Inc. While with Bramalea, Bruce was focused primarily on financial matters with significant involvement in the financial restructuring of the company in the early 1990’s. He has developed an extensive knowledge base related to real estate operations and financial management through exposure to both public and private company environments.
He has a strong belief in community involvement and is currently a director of the Edmonton Eskimos Football Club, the Fort Edmonton Corporation and the Banff Centre Foundation, and serves as a member of the Edmonton Homeless Commission.
Bruce is a former Governor and Vice Chair of the Banff Centre, was a member of the Edmonton Committee to End Homelessness, a Past President of the University of Alberta Alumni Association, a former member of the Senate of the University of Alberta and the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute – Edmonton Strategy Council, a past director of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce and the Winspear Foundation, he co-chaired the Tourism and Entertainment Cluster of the Greater Edmonton Competitiveness Strategy Initiative and was a City of Edmonton representative on the River Valley Alliance.
