Graham Kwan

Chief Executive Officer| Character Capital Inc.

Mr. Kwan is the Chief Executive Officer of Character Capital Inc. providing strategic investment advisory and capital markets mandates for Chinese and western businesses in cross cultural enterprises. He currently serves as a Director on the Board and Executive Vice President of Hanwei Energy Services Corp., a leading China based, specialty manufacturer to the energy sector, listed on the TSX.

From 2006 to May 2010 he was one of the founding partners, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Melco China Resorts (Holding) Limited (“MCR”), China’s leading destination ski resort developer and operator. In his tenure as CEO of MCR, Mr. Kwan oversaw the strategic direction and development of the Corporation including the aggregation of over 200 hectares of granted land use rights and the development of the country’s first 5 star mountain resort and ski in ski out resort homes. He worked directly with Chinese private and state owned enterprises as well Provincial and City government authorities. He oversaw the obtainment of over Rmb400M in Chinese domestic bank facilities, and structured and closed all equity financings of MCR in excess of C$125M. He directed and completed a $150M redevelopment of MCR’s Yabuli resort including three new 5 star hotels (including a 20 suite mountain top boutique hotel), spa and conference facilities, retail and dining together with on mountain improvements with heated lifts, new trails and snowmaking. The superior standard of the redeveloped Yabuli resort was awarded by TIME Magazine as the best resort makeover in all of Asia in early 2009 and which was also selected in late 2009 by Club Med as their first resort in China. In early 2010 the China Entrepreneurs Forum (“CEF”), China’s most influential community of distinguished and successful entrepreneurs and business leaders from a variety of key industries across China, announced Yabuli as the permanent home of their Annual Winter Forum. Mr. Kwan continues to work closely with the Chairman of the CEF on several international and domestic China initiatives. From 1997 to 2006 Mr. Kwan held various senior executive positions at Intrawest Corporation and was responsible for all of their activities in China. Prior to joining Intrawest, Mr. Kwan was a partner with Belt Collins LLC, one of Asia’s largest development consulting firms.
